KFC Canada

KFC Canada · Matty's KFC

KFC Canada shifts the tone of its brand advertising with 'Matty's KFC,' a commercial project that channels high-stakes cinematic tension. The film centres on a dramatic poker match between a character known as Matty and the iconic Colonel Sanders. The production team, including agency Courage and production house Spy Films, creates a theatrical environment through a dimly lit, moody set. The execution relies on low-key chiaroscuro lighting and a high-contrast aesthetic to build suspense around the card table. Technical contributions from Nimiopere, Alter Ego, and Eggplant Music & Sound shape the final spot, with media strategy provided by UM Canada.
