Zara
Studio Collection Fall 2024 Ad Campaign

Oct 2024
The Zara Studio Collection Fall 2024 ad campaign emerges as a masterclass in editorial minimalism, dominating the urban landscape through a series of high-contrast, cinematic outdoor placements. Under the creative direction of Fabien Baron, the campaign leans into a monochromatic visual language that elevates commercial fashion photography into the realm of high art. The imagery, captured by legendary photographer Steven Meisel, features a powerful cast including models like Mona Tougaard and Lulu Tenney, whose sculptural poses and intense expressions are defined by the sharp, architectural silhouettes of the collection. With styling by Karl Templer, the project utilizes high-key and chiaroscuro lighting techniques to create a striking tension between the polished, studio-strobe aesthetic of the ads and the gritty, nocturnal textures of city streets, subway stations, and industrial construction sites. The integration of set design by Mary Howard and the hair and makeup artistry of Guido Palau and Pat McGrath ensures every detail—from voluminous sleeves to avant-garde headpieces—is rendered with precision. This campaign does not simply occupy space; it commands it, using scale and stark black-and-white contrast to turn the urban environment into a dynamic gallery of modern luxury fashion. The result is a cohesive, high-impact aesthetic that feels both timeless and aggressively current, cementing the Studio Collection’s status through refined, live-action techniques.
