By Soma Architects: 321 Glenmore Street Paddington
Jan 2024
321 Glenmore Street Paddington is a contemporary residential project by By Soma Architects that balances refined craftsmanship with a light-filled, minimalist aesthetic. The interior architecture leans into a warm material palette, utilizing herringbone timber flooring and chevron parquet as a foundation for soft, natural light to interact with textured surfaces. Captured by photographer Daniel Cook, the project explores the interplay between tactile elements like veined marble, reeded glass, and rich wood grain. The design emphasizes a seamless transition between indoor living spaces and external greenery, with deliberate architectural details such as arched openings, curved plaster walls, and integrated lighting that bring rhythm to the layout. The result is a series of clean, atmospheric spaces that celebrate material honesty and balanced geometric proportions.
