Description

For their Resort 2024 campaign, Australian label SIR. transports the viewer to an ethereal, sun-drenched desert landscape, masterfully blending high-fashion sensibilities with a relaxed, nomadic spirit. The campaign, which leans into editorial minimalism, captures a series of sun-kissed vignettes set against the arid beauty of Joshua trees and vast, open horizons. Creative directors Nikki Campbell and Sophie Coote have curated a visual narrative that feels both cinematic and grounded, pairing the brand’s signature structured tailoring and delicate crochet details with a nostalgic, western-inspired aesthetic. Through the lens of photographer Jennifer Stenglein, the collection’s silk slip dresses, vibrant abstract prints, and minimalist swimwear are brought to life, utilizing soft natural light to highlight the rich textures of ribbed knits and flowing fabrics. Models Camille Rowe and Luma Grothe move with an effortless fluidity, their presence grounded by the stark, architectural lines of minimalist swimming pools and vintage convertibles that dot the desert terrain. With meticulous styling by Freddie Fredericks, complemented by the sun-weathered warmth of the outdoor environment, the imagery reads as a quintessential modern getaway. This project serves as a masterclass in atmospheric branding, utilizing crisp outdoor photography to elevate resort wear into the realm of timeless, aspirational fashion that feels as vast and untamed as the landscape itself.
