Loewe
Fall 2023 Ad Campaign

Aug 2023
For the Loewe Fall 2023 campaign, creative director Jonathan Anderson masterfully leans into an aesthetic of playful introspection and sculptural minimalism. Captured through the lens of photographer David Sims, the campaign functions as both a high-fashion editorial showcase and a sophisticated commercial statement. The visual narrative features talent Tang Wei and Taylor Russell posed against reflective, crinkled plastic backdrops and neutral studio environments, creating a tactile contrast between the organic forms of the luxury leather goods and the clean, graphic lines of the apparel. Utilizing both precise studio strobe and diffused natural light, the project highlights the brand's commitment to artisanal craft, from the intricate geometric paneling of the iconic Puzzle bag to the whimsical detailing found on high-heeled pumps, which feature everything from crushed velvet bows to sculptural brush-like heels. With meticulous styling by Benjamin Bruno and production support from Holmes Production, the series channels a polished, high-fashion energy that feels both contemporary and intentional. The consistent use of bold, serif typography and symmetrical composition ensures that the focus remains steadfastly on the interplay of texture—be it woven leather, supple shearling, or smooth satin—solidifying the house's forward-thinking approach to luxury fashion advertising while maintaining a sharp, clean silhouette across every frame of the collection.
