For the Y's 25AW campaign, Yohji Yamamoto leans into high-contrast monochrome editorial photography to showcase the latest collection. Photographer Max Vadukul captures the garments in motion across diverse urban environments, from elevated highway overpasses to modern architectural facades, using natural light and distinct graphic shadows to highlight the structural tailoring and layered silhouettes of the menswear-inspired pieces. The series features model Kiko Arai, who is styled in recurring motifs of platinum blonde bob wigs and oversized, voluminous garments. Casting by Shimana complements the kinetic energy of the shoot, where the subjects are often surrounded by photographers and candid urban activity, grounding the high-fashion aesthetic in an energetic, raw environment.
