Prada
Spring 2024 Ad Campaign

Jan 2024
The Prada Spring 2024 ad campaign serves as a masterful masterclass in editorial minimalism, stripping away extraneous noise to focus entirely on the architectural integrity of the garments. Under the creative vision of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, paired with the sophisticated sensibilities of creative director Ferdinando Verderi, the project achieves a seamless narrative across an expansive, diverse cast. Photographer Willy Vanderperre employs precise studio strobe lighting to delineate the rich tension between materials, from delicate sheer overlays and intricate floral embroidery to the structural weight of tailored wool blazers and supple leather handbags. The campaign leans into a monochromatic and neutral palette, allowing textures—fringe, sequins, and dense knits—to take center stage against clean, seamless backdrops. Whether capturing the arresting presence of actors like Troye Sivan or the poised expressions of runway stalwarts like Anok Yai and Liu Wen, the imagery reads as both a study in high-fashion portraiture and a cohesive commercial statement. By utilizing high-key lighting alongside moody chiaroscuro techniques, the collection feels both contemporary and timeless. This series avoids the spectacle of traditional location shoots, instead opting for a rigorous focus on silhouette and detail that cements the house's signature aesthetic while celebrating the distinct, calm gaze of each individual talent involved in this expansive visual tapestry.
