Gucci
Fall 2024 Ad Campaign

Jul 2024
The Gucci Fall 2024 ad campaign represents a masterclass in editorial minimalism, stripping away extraneous noise to focus on the raw intersection of human elegance and equestrian grace. Under the creative direction of Sabato De Sarno, the campaign eschews traditional narrative complexity in favor of stark, high-key portraiture that emphasizes texture and form. Photographers Deo Suveera and Pamela Dimitrov utilize a mix of studio strobe and natural light to create clean, deliberate shadows, casting models such as Agel Akol, Ana Rossolovich, Chloe Oh, and Achille Genet against seamless, neutral backgrounds. This approach extends to the product imagery, where gold-toned horsebit motifs and delicate diamonds are rendered with macro precision, highlighting a sophisticated, stripped-back aesthetic. Stylist Francesca Burns curates a wardrobe that leans into tactile luxury—from ribbed-knit polos to leather outerwear—perfectly complementing the subtle, wet-look grooming by Claire Grech and the dewy, natural makeup applied by Janeen Witherspoon. By juxtaposing close-up profiles of braided and groomed horses with intimate human portraits, the project bridges the gap between high-end fashion advertising and animal portraiture. The result is a coherent, high-resolution visual language that champions quiet luxury, proving that when the execution is this refined, the most powerful statement is often the simplest one.
