David Jones · Christmas Windows

David Jones celebrates the holiday season with 'Christmas Windows,' a festive campaign that chronicles the evolution of the department store’s iconic window displays across multiple decades. The film leans into a cinematic aesthetic, utilizing live-action techniques to bridge the gap between historical shopfronts and modern retail tradition. Moving through distinct periods, the narrative highlights the detailed props and period-specific styling that have defined the brand's seasonal presence. The production, managed by Collider, features a shift from vintage brick-street settings to contemporary festive displays, emphasizing a nostalgic tone throughout the campaign. Creative work was led by Droga5 ANZ, part of Accenture Song, with post-production and visual effects provided by Fin Design + Effects.

David Jones · The Home of Christmas

David Jones explores festive motifs in its "The Home of Christmas" campaign, a retail-focused series that grounds holiday gifting in an open-air, pastoral setting. Moving away from traditional indoor studio spaces, the work utilizes natural light and sun-drenched meadows to highlight a curated selection of apparel and festive decor. Photographer Simon Upton leads the visuals, which feature editorial-style portraiture and lifestyle groupings centered around elaborate outdoor dining settings and gift-giving vignettes. The execution relies on warm tones and clean compositions, incorporating large-scale decorative props to define the seasonal narrative. Supporting the production, Kirsten Bookallil provides set design with an emphasis on golden-hour aesthetics, while food styling by Lisa Featherby rounds out the festive tabletops.

The David Jones Summer Catalogue features model Lauren Hutton in a series of studio-based portraits centered on seasonal layering and crisp tailoring. Shot by photographer Hannah Scott Stevenson with creative direction from Justin Woo, the imagery leans into a clean, minimalist aesthetic to highlight garment textures and silhouettes. The editorial execution, styled by Philippa Moroney, balances structured outerwear, such as camel coats and trench coats, with lighter silk elements and windbreaker-style separates. Utilising natural light and neutral backdrops, the series maintains a consistent visual identity that emphasizes movement and professional wardrobe styling.
