The Vandelay
Brand Identity

Mar 2021
The Vandelay brand identity project establishes a visual language for the restaurant group through a blend of clean graphic design and playful illustration. Developed with graphic design studio Bielke&Yang and illustrator Ryo Kaneyasu, the system integrates serif typography with a high-contrast palette of red, forest green, and off-white. Technical executions include vector line work and custom paper goods, highlighting a range of brand touchpoints from signage to packaging. Lifestyle and tabletop photography capture the identity in a natural light setting, emphasising the tactile quality of the materials and the character-driven motifs that define the brand's aesthetic presence.
