Ytri
Brand Identity

Aug 2026
For the brand identity project developed for Ytri, the design team at Bielke&Yang has masterfully synthesized the rugged, elemental spirit of the Træna archipelago into a sophisticated visual language. The project captures an expansive, high-end lifestyle narrative, successfully bridging the gap between raw, natural landscape and disciplined, corporate minimalism. Through a cohesive application of typography, motion graphics, and tactile print collateral, the identity leans into a restrained palette of deep browns, burgundies, and slate greys, which mirror the geological textures of the coastal region. The execution, supported by evocative photography from Einar Aslaksen and Bow, channels a cinematic quality that elevates the brand from a mere service provider to an immersive experience. Whether through the debossed paper assets or the sleek, architectural integration of the logo on modern structures and vessels, the work utilizes natural light and soft light techniques to emphasize the interplay between organic forms and geometric precision. This comprehensive brand identity is anchored by a commitment to materiality, evident in the focus on emboss and deboss finishes that invite a sensory engagement with the brand. By blending professional UI illustration with moody, observational lifestyle imagery, Ytri establishes an identity that is both deeply rooted in its environment and undeniably contemporary, positioning the brand as a leader in refined, destination-based hospitality.
