LIFI
Brand Identity

Nov 2024
The brand identity for the Leeds International Festival of Ideas (LIFI) centers on a fusion of minimalist typography and hyper-reflective 3D assets. Developed by design studio Rabbithole with 3D work by Joseph Töreki, the project establishes a visual language defined by a vibrant color palette of pink, cyan, and neutral grey tones. The visual execution relies heavily on CGI and motion graphics, featuring metallic surfaces, liquid metal textures, and chrome elements that create a futuristic aesthetic. Graphic layouts incorporate bold, clean-lined typography alongside retro video motifs and scanline effects, bridging the gap between digital event collateral and abstract art. The identity spans multiple touchpoints, from promotional motion graphics and stage displays to printed festival ephemera. Through the use of 3D render techniques and fluid animation, the system remains adaptable across both static event badges and dynamic video sequences.
