"Unpublished Material" Spring 2025 Ad Campaign

Jul 2024
Lazoschmidl’s Unpublished Material Spring 2025 ad campaign is a masterclass in editorial minimalism, stripping back the noise to center on the raw intersection of physical form and contemporary design. Photographers Juanjo Martinez and Daniel Riera employ a sophisticated visual language, leaning into natural light and chiaroscuro techniques to celebrate the athleticism of the subjects. The project, which spans the realms of lingerie and underwear, avoids the standard tropes of commercial fashion in favor of a more intimate, tactile exploration of the body. By utilizing a clean, studio-lit aesthetic and deliberate, graphic compositions, the imagery emphasizes muscle definition and skin texture against stark, neutral backdrops. Creative directors Josef Lazo and Andreas Schmidl curate a series that feels both candid and highly calculated, with movement director Lluís Garau coaxing dynamic, functional poses from the talent that highlight the utility of the collection. The inclusion of subtle personal details, like fine-line tattoos, adds an authentic layer to the high-fashion narrative, while stylist Josef Lazo ensures the focus remains firmly on the interplay between the garments and the human silhouette. With its blend of editorial portraiture and lifestyle-driven motion, the campaign serves as a polished, evocative portrait of modern masculinity, masterfully balancing artistic vulnerability with the precision of high-end commercial imagery.
