Gucci
Spring 2024 Eyewear Ad Campaign

Mar 2024
Gucci channels a sense of understated sophistication in its Spring 2024 Eyewear ad campaign, masterfully blending the pulse of urban life with the polished elegance synonymous with the house. Under the visionary creative direction of Sabato De Sarno, the campaign translates the eyewear collection into an essential component of modern identity. The imagery, captured by photographer and director David Sims, leans into an editorial aesthetic that oscillates between raw, natural light-drenched street encounters and precise, studio strobe-lit portraits. Art director Riccardo Zanola helps ground these visuals in a balanced narrative, while stylist Alastair McKimm curates a wardrobe of textured denim, silk, and cotton that allows the eyewear to take center stage. The diverse cast, including Ni Ni, Alia Bhatt, Max Wagner, and Vittoria Ceretti, brings a grounded humanity to the frame, ensuring the focus remains on the interplay between facial structure and frame architecture. Through cinematic lighting and thoughtful composition, the project highlights the glossy surfaces and intricate details of the frames, elevating them from mere accessories to defining stylistic markers. This campaign serves as a masterclass in fashion communication, proving that a minimalist approach to styling and composition can yield a deeply evocative visual language that feels both globally relevant and quintessentially Gucci.
