Project Trenery · Bennelong
The Bennelong project for Trenery is a sophisticated fashion campaign that juxtaposes high-end tailoring against the structured, brutalist-inspired architecture of its namesake venue. Captured by photographer James Tolich, the imagery leans into a restrained, editorial palette, highlighting the tactile quality of knitwear, wool, and denim against stone, metal, and glass environments. Working with hair stylist Lok Lau and make-up artist Isabella Schimid, the series maintains a clean, cohesive aesthetic. The execution uses soft, directional natural light to emphasize form and texture, while select monochrome and analogue film treatments add a classic, timeless dimension to the campaign. Production was managed by North 6, framing the collection through a lens of quiet, atmospheric precision.
Project Trenery · August/September 24
The August/September 24 campaign for Trenery focuses on the intersection of contemporary tailoring and sculptural form. Set against a backdrop of angular geometric structures and minimalist landscapes, the imagery explores clean silhouettes through a mixture of studio settings and outdoor environments. The visual narrative channels a refined aesthetic, prioritizing the tactile quality of knitwear and denim through deliberate, structured compositions. Creative direction by Nikki Hillier anchors the project, which leans into natural light and layered perspectives to capture the collection. Photographer Rahel Weiss employs a precise approach, occasionally incorporating optical devices and depth-of-field manipulation to frame the subjects. Production was supported by hair stylist Bradwyn Jones, make-up artist Isabella Schimid, and prop stylist Carina Hicks, whose work ensures a cohesive, polished look across both colour and monochrome editorials.
Project Trenery · Autumn 2024
Trenery’s Autumn 2024 campaign is a study in quiet minimalism and textural depth. Captured by photographer Jake Terrey, the series shifts between high-contrast monochrome portraits and warm, earth-toned interior scenes that emphasise the brand's focus on structure and clean lines. Under the creative direction of Nikki Hillier, the collection is showcased through a mix of raw architectural settings, including board-formed concrete surfaces and refined, wood-paneled residential spaces. Fashion styling by Tamara Afonina focuses on layered knitwear, tailored coats, and versatile tailoring, while prop styling by Natalie Turnbull integrates organic elements like sculptural paper lanterns and ceramics to balance the geometric environment. The editorial leans into a polished, restrained aesthetic, utilizing natural light to highlight the weight of wools and suedes against the stark backdrop of architectural concrete.
