Numero China · Pan Daijing

Numéro China features artist and composer Pan Daijing in a multifaceted editorial profile for issue 113. Captured through the lens of photographer Nadine Fraczkowski with fashion styling by Tim Lim, the series leans into moody, high-contrast aesthetics to document the artist’s presence. The imagery utilizes a range of techniques, from intense chiaroscuro and theatrical spotlights to blurred long-exposure shots and flash-lit urban settings. By juxtaposing sculptural dark silhouettes against brutalist architectural backdrops, minimalist concrete stairs, and textured night-lit foliage, the editorial emphasizes a shift between structured high-fashion and raw, cinematic abstraction.
