Project LCBA · Brand Identity
The brand identity for the London Centre for Book Arts (LCBA) was developed by Studio Bergini, resulting in a cohesive graphic design system that highlights the institution’s focus on print craftsmanship and traditional bookmaking. The project utilizes a vibrant, high-contrast palette and bold typography to create a clean, tactile aesthetic across stationery, signage, and environmental collateral. Through the use of specialized papers from Colorset and Fenner Paper, the identity emphasizes the physical quality of the materials alongside precise, structured layouts. The design channels an editorial sensibility, moving from technical printed ephemera to an architectural, color-blocked facade that reflects the studio workspace. Minimalist graphic elements and detailed typography serve as the primary focus throughout the collection.
LCBA · Brand Identity
LCBA’s brand identity project brings together a collaborative design effort from Studio Bergini, Mubien, United Design Lab, Clase, Toben, Studio Oker, Justified Studio, and Studio Sly. The visual system centres on a modular approach to stationery, packaging, and digital motion graphics, emphasizing tactile paper textures and precise typographic hierarchy. Across various collateral, the work explores a wide range of material finishes, from debossed lettering and custom envelope constructions to high-contrast color blocking. Techniques such as emboss & deboss and minimalist layout design underscore a clean, contemporary aesthetic. The identity moves between saturated studio photography and atmospheric, organic compositions, utilizing harsh directional lighting and natural elements to ground the graphic components. This multifaceted brand identity leverages both vector precision and raw, physical textures to establish its presence.
