Zara
Origami

Sep 2024
For the Origami project, Zara explores a quiet, meditative aesthetic through a series of fashion editorials. The campaign centers on model Mohammed Abubakar, captured in minimalist interior settings that leverage earthy tones and soft, natural light. By integrating paper cranes and origami motifs within these curated spaces, the imagery emphasizes tactile textures and the precision of the garment tailoring. Photographer Álvaro Pereña Jimenez employs a mix of monochrome and warm color palettes, utilising analogue film techniques to heighten the editorial mood. Art direction by Laura Jauregui and fashion styling by Alba Vicario frame the collection as a study in form, using clean compositions and sparse environments to shift the focus toward the subtle details of the apparel and the contemplative presence of the subject.
