Directed by Kong DaShan for W Magazine China, the 'Wake Up in 2000' fashion editorial project explores surrealist themes through a series of meticulously crafted dioramas. Photographer Trunk Xu captures these scenes using an isometric, diorama-like approach that oscillates between miniature sets and life-sized compositions. Styling by Austin Feng incorporates architectural silhouettes and patterned textiles, while hair styling by MingHu Zhang and blush-focused makeup by Clive.x define the editorial aesthetic. The project leans into a surreal, playful atmosphere, utilizing graphic compositions and clean, soft light to highlight the contrast between scale and environment across the various theatrical tableaux.
