For the Icon Issue of W Magazine China, photographer Zhong Lin captures model Lulu Tenney in a high-concept fashion editorial that interrogates the intersection of brutalist architecture and avant-garde couture. The series leans into surrealism and tactile layering, using an urban rooftop setting to juxtapose raw concrete textures with elaborate fabrications. Through a mix of high-contrast monochrome and saturated, warm-toned palettes, the imagery focuses on sculptural silhouettes, intricate embellishments, and layered reflections. Styling by Austin Feng features oversized volumes and technical tailoring, while beauty direction by Min Kim and hair styling by Akemi Kishida anchor the looks with graphic, precise details. The production incorporates elements of set design by Manon Everhard to enhance the dreamlike, layered aesthetic of the shoot, resulting in a cohesive visual narrative centered on texture and form.
