Sandy Hook Promise: How To Make a Bomb
Sep 2021
Sandy Hook Promise’s latest public awareness campaign, 'How To Make a Bomb,' examines the indicators of youth isolation through a somber lens. The film focuses on the often-overlooked warning signs that precede social withdrawal, employing observational framing to capture students in solitary moments. Developed by AMV BBDO, the project leans into a cinematic, documentary-style approach. The visual language relies on desaturated tones and stark typography to underscore its narrative, moving through empty classrooms and private bedrooms to articulate the weight of loneliness. The production was supported by Sweetshop AU, with post-production and VFX handled by Alter Ego, and sound design provided by Sound Lounge.
