Reparations Club
Brand Identity

May 2021
Reparations Club’s brand identity centers on a high-contrast visual language defined by bold, sans-serif typography and a stark palette of black, white, and vibrant chartreuse. The project, executed by Sometimes Always and Estúdio Daó, establishes a versatile system applied across digital interfaces, printed collateral, and outdoor advertising for the Los Angeles-based concept bookshop. The design system leans into editorial and commercial sensibilities, incorporating collage and minimalist layout techniques to frame informational content. By utilizing receipt-style typography and striking photographic insets, the identity balances raw, graphic impact with functional legibility. Across tote bags, business cards, and posters, the work maintains a consistent, clean aesthetic through the strategic use of negative space and vector-driven composition.
