Marine Serre
'Heartbeat' Spring 2024 Ad Campaign

Jan 2024
The Marine Serre Heartbeat Spring 2024 ad campaign reimagines the luxury fashion house's signature aesthetic by grounding its avant-garde ethos within the rhythms of everyday life. Captured through the lens of photographer Reto Schmid, the campaign leans into a grounded, cinematic realism that juxtaposes high-fashion sensibilities with the mundane settings of grocery aisles, flower shops, and local hair salons. With creative direction from Marine Serre herself, the project functions as an editorial exploration of identity and ritual, utilizing a vivid, saturated palette to elevate these familiar environments into sophisticated backdrops. The imagery features talent Winnie Harlow and Alassane Diong, whose presence brings a dynamic, human element to the structured, crescent-heavy designs. Stylist Benoit Bethume orchestrates the looks, blending the iconic moon-patterned silhouettes with clean, modern tailoring that feels both timeless and distinctly contemporary. By employing live-action techniques and harnessing soft natural light, the series avoids the sterility often found in luxury advertising, instead opting for a narrative-driven approach. The result is a cohesive, lifestyle-forward collection of images that prioritize texture and authenticity. Through the expert contributions of Estelle Hayatou on hair and Lindzy on makeup, the campaign maintains a polished, editorial edge, successfully bridging the gap between high-concept luxury fashion houses and the relatable, heartbeat-like cadence of global urban culture.
