The Mackage Fall 2023 ad campaign masterfully leans into an aesthetic of editorial minimalism, positioning the luxury fashion house’s latest technical outerwear against the raw, untamed beauty of coastal landscapes. With creative direction from Eran Elfassy and evocative photography by Shayne Laverdiere, the project captures the tactile tension between high-gloss, quilted puffer jackets, structured leather bombers, and plush shearling. The campaign channels a moody, cinematic atmosphere, utilizing natural light and stark desert-to-shore settings to highlight the collection's robust silhouettes. Models Andreea Diaconu and Simon Nessmann anchor the frames with steady, composed gazes, allowing the interplay of textures—from reflective nylon to deep-pile fur—to remain the focal point. The execution benefits from precise styling by Corey Ng, with understated hair by Tsuki and clean, neutral makeup by Yumi Lee, ensuring the garments retain their high-end edge. By shifting between high-contrast monochrome portraits and wide, desaturated landscapes, the visual narrative utilizes techniques like 35mm film grain and chiaroscuro lighting to elevate the seasonal apparel.
