Helmut Lang Summer 2026

Jul 2026
The Helmut Lang Summer 2026 campaign masterfully leans into the house's storied tradition of architectural minimalism and refined sartorial intelligence. Shot through the lens of photographer Johnson Lui, the collection presentation thrives on a restrained, high-contrast visual language that treats the human form as a geometric extension of the built environment. With art direction by Becca Thandi Halev and styling by Clare Byrne, the editorial imagery employs sharp, natural light to cast dramatic silhouettes against stark white and neutral studio backdrops. The resulting portraits, featuring models Ahmed Richards and Lydia-Angel, highlight a sophisticated tension between the structured tailoring of the garments and the raw, fringed textures of raw denim and sheer draping. By pairing heavy blazer silhouettes and backless halter tops with deliberate, hard-edged chiaroscuro lighting, the project achieves a polished, contemporary cadence. The interplay of monochromatic palettes and subtle, vertical pinstripes underscores the label's commitment to understated luxury. Through a series of carefully composed lifestyle and commercial portraits, the campaign maintains a consistent, analytical focus, allowing the interplay of light, shadow, and negative space to define the brand's sharp, modern aesthetic for the season ahead.
