Coors Light: Chillboards
May 2022
Chillboards is a documentary-style project for Coors Light that examines the impact of extreme urban heat on city environments, specifically focusing on Miami. Developed by agency DDB Worldwide and production house HELO, the project captures the intersection of urban planning and climate, featuring insights from Miami-Dade County Chief Heat Officer Jane Gilbert. The film utilizes drone footage and observational sequences to illustrate how infrastructure, such as dark-surfaced rooftops and dense apartment blocks, contributes to heat retention. Through a lens of natural light and grainy documentary cinematography, the project documents the physical reality of urban heat islands.
