Bottega Veneta
Winter 2024 Ad Campaign

Aug 2024
The Bottega Veneta Winter 2024 ad campaign serves as a masterclass in atmospheric storytelling, grounding the luxury fashion house’s latest collection in the raw, sprawling expanses of the Utah and Nevada desert. Under the visionary eye of creative director Matthieu Blazy, the campaign eschews traditional studio artifice, favoring the stark, cinematic interplay between high-fashion silhouettes and arid, geological textures. Through the lens of photographer Alec Soth and with film direction by Rahim Fortune, the visuals lean into a quiet, editorial minimalism, where the deliberate contrast between structured, avant-garde garments—rich in leather, fringe, and bold color blocking—and the desolate, sun-drenched landscape creates a profound sense of tension. The imagery feels intimate despite its vast backdrop, capturing movement and stillness in a series of compositions that emphasize tactile details, from woven leather bags to the rough edges of sandstone cliffs. With casting by Anita Bitton, the diverse ensemble of models, including Imaan Hammam and Mariacarla Boscono, anchor the narrative with a sense of grounded performance. This collection finds its momentum through natural light and sharp, direct illumination, allowing the raw beauty of the environment to frame the brand's sharp serif identity. It is a striking exploration of luxury in nature, where the interplay of industrial metallic props and organic flora reinforces the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and material innovation.
