Barcelona City Council
Brand Identity

Sep 2023
The Barcelona City Council brand identity project establishes a comprehensive visual system for municipal communication and urban engagement. Executed by a collective including Arauna Studio, Gunter Piekarski, José de Wal, Nine.SixThree, and UnitedUs, the work spans digital interface design, product packaging, and large-scale urban interventions. The project leans into a minimalist aesthetic, utilizing clean typographic hierarchies and geometric motifs that unify diverse city assets. From aerial drone footage documenting street-level art installations to moody low-key commercial photography, the identity framework balances high-contrast graphic design with the architectural history of the city. Techniques such as 3D rendering and long-exposure photography provide a structured rhythm to the municipal rollout.
