Bally
"Brand Heritage" Ad Campaign

Jun 2025
The Bally Brand Heritage ad campaign serves as a masterclass in editorial minimalism, stripping away the superfluous to place the label’s foundational craftsmanship at the center of the frame. Through a series of stark, high-key compositions, the project creates a dialogue between the organic, tactile nature of stone plinths and the precision of leather footwear. Photographer Alessio Boni leans into a controlled, clean aesthetic, utilizing studio strobe lighting to emphasize the sculptural quality of the models—Garrett Neff, Gabriel Aubry, and James Turlington—against a neutral, off-white backdrop. By pairing simple white briefs with iconic Bally silhouettes, including classic loafers, Chelsea boots, and cap-toe oxfords, the campaign successfully pivots the focus toward the artisanal detail of the leather. The portrait work feels both contemporary and timeless, utilizing a palette that feels intentionally understated to highlight the contrast between the human form and the enduring appeal of the brand’s heritage. The use of natural light elements within the studio environment adds a subtle softness to the imagery, preventing the stark setting from feeling cold. This execution ensures that the focus remains anchored on the textures of the footwear, effectively positioning these accessories as essential, enduring objects rather than merely seasonal additions to a collection, resulting in a cohesive visual identity that honors the house's storied legacy.
