Adidas introduces its 'Fashion Fantasy' project, a series of editorial assets that merge high-fashion sensibilities with the brand's sportswear heritage. Creative director Beate Skonare Karlsson and photographer Szilveszter Mako collaborate to push the visual boundaries of standard product presentation, moving away from conventional advertising toward a more artistic, mixed-media approach. The series utilizes playful collage techniques and graphic grid overlays to frame its subjects. One composition features models in coordinated puffer jackets and athletic gear set against hand-painted, surreal goalposts. Another image pivots to a surrealist still life, where sculptural accessories are integrated with painted limbs and athletic sneakers to create an anthropomorphic form. These elements lean heavily into graphic design, utilizing intentional distortion and illustration to recontextualize standard apparel pieces.
