NYC restaurants impacted by COVID-19 · Brand Identity

Family Meal serves as a comprehensive brand identity and fundraising initiative supporting New York City restaurants and staff affected by the 2020 closures. Developed by Decade, the project leverages a cohesive design language that balances community-focused messaging with whimsical, engaging visual communication. The initiative manifests through a cookbook and a digital platform, featuring a series of illustrated recipe pages, custom typography, and vibrant spot illustrations. The design utilizes structured editorial layouts and clean vector graphics to organize collaborative contributions from various designers and illustrators, resulting in a project that functions as both a functional tool and a visual compilation of community support. The visual identity encompasses a range of applications, from mobile UI interfaces to poster designs and print monographs. By integrating bold, retro-inspired color palettes with minimalist typographic treatments, the work maintains a professional, clear aesthetic across all digital and physical touchpoints.
