GOCA · Brand Identity

The brand identity for GOCA, a Chelsea-based contemporary art gallery, establishes a visual language centered on minimalist precision and high-contrast editorial design. Developed by Athletics, the identity bridges international sensibilities through a monochrome palette punctuated by vibrant graphic accents. The project leans into a systematic use of halftone patterns, structured grid alignments, and a mix of English and Japanese typography. Applications of the brand extend across both digital and physical touchpoints. The digital platform utilizes responsive web design and motion graphics to showcase exhibition content, while physical materials—ranging from signage and posters to stationery and ID cards—rely on geometric forms, tactile embossment, and clean aperture cutouts to maintain a consistent gallery presence.
