Project Aknvas · Resort 2027 - Chapter II: Slumber Pa ...
Aknvas presents a masterclass in atmospheric storytelling with its Resort 2027 collection, titled Chapter II: Slumber Party. Under the visionary creative direction of Christian Juul Nielsen, the campaign leans into an opulent, cinematic aesthetic that transforms the intimacy of a private home into a grand stage for high-fashion drama. Photographer Kolby Knight captures this mood through a series of striking editorial portraits, employing natural light to accentuate the rich, tactile interplay between Aknvas’s signature voluminous silhouettes and intricate fabrications. Throughout the series, the collection channels a distinct vintage sensibility, juxtaposing shimmering metallic brocades, sheer lace, and sequined embellishments against muted, ornate backdrops of wood-paneled walls and heavy velvet drapery. Models Emma Blackford and Roxane Plaza inhabit these environments with a poised, neutral intensity, their styling enhanced by the precise, elegant hair work of Cecilia Romero. The project excels in its commitment to material depth, where structural peplums, crinkled textures, and ruffled layering take center stage within the collection’s sophisticated, monochromatic, and floral-infused palette. By balancing grand indoor architecture with the soft, lingering quality of natural light, the campaign successfully elevates luxury fashion into a moody, immersive lifestyle narrative that feels both timeless and deeply intentional in its execution.
Project Aknvas · Aknvas Pre-Fall 2025 Lookbook
The Aknvas Pre-Fall 2025 lookbook presents a series of editorial portraits that lean into a romantic yet structured aesthetic. Photographed by Kolby Knight, the collection features designs marked by voluminous ruffles, architectural tailoring, and dimensional floral appliqués, all set against a mix of clean interior backdrops and soft, warm-toned environments. Creative direction by Christian Juul Nielsen and Cyril Guyot orchestrates a deliberate contrast between soft lace and sheer fabrics and the harsher, polished finish of patent leather and buckled boots. With styling supported by hair artist Nastya Miliaeva and makeup artist Linda Gradin, the imagery utilizes natural light to emphasize texture, adopting a retro-inflected visual language that balances the brand's signature volume with a minimalist, clean editorial sensibility.
