Aknvas presents a masterclass in atmospheric storytelling with its Resort 2027 collection, titled Chapter II: Slumber Party. Under the visionary creative direction of Christian Juul Nielsen, the campaign leans into an opulent, cinematic aesthetic that transforms the intimacy of a private home into a grand stage for high-fashion drama. Photographer Kolby Knight captures this mood through a series of striking editorial portraits, employing natural light to accentuate the rich, tactile interplay between Aknvas’s signature voluminous silhouettes and intricate fabrications. Throughout the series, the collection channels a distinct vintage sensibility, juxtaposing shimmering metallic brocades, sheer lace, and sequined embellishments against muted, ornate backdrops of wood-paneled walls and heavy velvet drapery. Models Emma Blackford and Roxane Plaza inhabit these environments with a poised, neutral intensity, their styling enhanced by the precise, elegant hair work of Cecilia Romero.
