Seize the Awkward (Ad Council, AFSP, NAMI) · Let's Be Real

Seize the Awkward addresses the necessity of mental health communication through its project, Let's Be Real. The campaign utilizes a series of cinematic vignettes that observe intimate, grounded conversations across a variety of outdoor environments, ranging from coastal settings to urban backdrops. Directed by Daniel Fry and produced by SMUGGLER, the work leans into a naturalistic aesthetic. The production employs a muted color palette and deliberate, cinematic framing to prioritize the emotional weight of the dialogue. By focusing on live-action technique and authentic interactions, the project establishes an atmospheric look that highlights connection.
