Robb Report · Citizens Of The Reef

Citizens Of The Reef is an editorial project commissioned by Robb Report, documenting marine conservation and exploration efforts. The work provides an observational look at researchers and divers operating in open-water environments, capturing both life aboard luxury vessels and the vibrant ecosystems of coral reefs. Photographer Damian Bennett employs a documentary aesthetic, utilizing natural light and occasionally monochrome film to underscore the scale of the marine setting. The imagery transitions between expansive exterior shots of vessels at sea and underwater explorations, leaning into a cinematic and clean visual style. Justin Woo provides creative direction for the series, which emphasizes the logistical and environmental components of the field assignment.
