Queensland Government · Coercive Control TVC

The Queensland Government’s Coercive Control TVC campaign uses a series of intimate, high-contrast vignettes to illustrate the unsettling nature of manipulative relationships. By focusing on close-up perspectives within vehicles and digital interactions, the project leans into a tense, cinematic narrative style. Technically, the campaign employs low-key lighting and chiaroscuro techniques to heighten the emotional weight of the subjects. The visual identity is defined by a distinct push-pull of palettes, shifting between cool, moody blue tones and warmer natural light, with colour grading by Kali Bateman.
