Description
The Queensland Government’s Coercive Control TVC campaign employs a tension-filled visual narrative to address the complexities of coercive control. The series utilises a cinematic, live-action technique, alternating between intimate character portraits and sharp, symbolic close-ups of digital interactions to convey a sense of observation and containment. Technically, the project relies on high-contrast, low-key lighting and chiaroscuro styles to heighten the dramatic atmosphere. The colour grading, executed by Kali Bateman, shifts between cool, moody blue palettes and warmer tones to distinguish between shifting emotional states within the narrative.
