Ngāi Tahu · It's Whānau

The Ngāi Tahu project, It's Whānau, presents a series of intimate, multigenerational scenes that explore themes of family connection and community. Through a lifestyle-focused lens, the film captures quiet moments in the home, such as traditional weaving, alongside outdoor sequences at local markets. Produced by Supernormal and Mahi Tahi, the project utilizes a documentary approach to document interpersonal interactions. The visual execution relies on natural light to maintain a warm aesthetic, bridging domestic life with broader community experiences.
