Project

GMC · Touch Grass

GMC's 'Touch Grass' campaign introduces the Hummer EV through a series of cinematic live-action sequences that bridge the gap between digital gaming culture and the outdoors. The project focuses on creators integrating portable gaming setups with the vehicle’s utility in natural landscapes, highlighting the truck’s practical application in wild settings. Produced by Effie Studios, the commercial leverages slow motion to capture the vehicle moving across bridges and through wildflower-rich terrain. By utilizing natural light and high-contrast exterior cinematography, the piece highlights the electric truck’s versatility in remote environments.

Project

GMC · Echoing Expertise

GMC presents Echoing Expertise, a campaign exploring the intersection of field capability and technical maintenance. The commercial content bridges two worlds, following a photographer navigating rugged coastal and forested terrain with an electric truck while simultaneously showcasing the precision of vehicle diagnostics within a clean, climate-controlled service bay. Directed by Brett Warkentien with cinematography by Jeff Sukes, the production employs a cinematic and minimalist visual language. The live-action technique uses drone footage to ground the vehicle in vast outdoor environments, contrasting these wide, raw scales with clinical close-ups of mechanical components and diagnostic monitoring equipment. The project was developed by Leo Burnett Detroit with production support from Taproot Pictures and executive producer Josh Carrasquillo.
