Distance · Shadow Runners
Distance explores the intersection of technology and urban athletics in the 'Shadow Runners' campaign. Developed by BETC Paris, the project examines running culture through a series of atmospheric vignettes set against wet, nighttime cityscapes. The film leans into a cinematic, gritty aesthetic, utilizing live-action techniques to capture the movement of runners as they navigate stairwells and urban streets. French narration provides a recurring commentary throughout the piece, contrasting personal performance data with the environment. Production was managed by POP, with original sound design and music also provided by the studio.
