Canadian Labour Congress · Brand Identity

The Canadian Labour Congress brand identity project translates political messaging into a robust spatial branding system. Developed by Baillat Studio, the project integrates environmental graphic design with architectural interventions to communicate core themes across convention centers and transit hubs. The identity leans into clean, high-contrast layouts, utilizing bold geometric colour blocks and stark typography to anchor promotional signage within large-scale public spaces. Creative direction by Jean-Sébastien Baillat and art direction by Hayley Lim inform the application of these graphic assets, which range from suspended banners to transit panels. The execution highlights the intersection of public architecture and corporate identity, often utilizing natural light to define the space and movement within the environment. The campaign, which features motion graphics and live-action documentation, maintains a consistent visual language that elevates institutional communication through minimalist design.
