Bygones

Bygones · Brand Identity

The brand identity for Bygones, a cocktail bar and restaurant, leans into a sophisticated, moody aesthetic that prioritizes tactile textures and warm, cinematic lighting. Through a blend of commercial photography and graphic design, the project establishes a cohesive visual language rooted in nostalgic hospitality and minimalist vector illustration. The application spans interior environments, custom signage, and collateral, maintaining a consistent focus on a bold red and amber color palette. Photography by Andrew Thomas Lee works in tandem with graphic design by Matey to execute a brand system that feels both elevated and grounded in its rustic surroundings. The imagery emphasizes clean typography, balanced layout, and material contrasts, moving from overhead product shots to wide interior captures that highlight the venue’s distressed brick and velvet-accented interior.
