Akubra

Akubra · Summer of Akubra

The Summer of Akubra campaign frames the brand's heritage headwear through a coastal, outdoor lens. Captured by photographer Robbie Fimmano, the series leans into a sun-drenched aesthetic, utilizing natural light and high-contrast monochrome grades to highlight the textures of felt and woven straw. The visuals pair classic western-inspired apparel with relaxed, sun-bleached settings, ranging from sandy shorelines and coastal dunes to weathered, textured backdrops. Creative direction by Natalie Culina and Peter Fowler anchors the series, supported by art direction from Dijana Madison. The production prioritizes an authentic, lifestyle-driven narrative, emphasizing the utility and enduring nature of the Akubra hat. Styling by Emma Kalfus, alongside hair by Sophie Roberts and makeup by Filomena Natoli, balances heritage iconography with a contemporary editorial finish.
