10 Magazine Australia

10 Magazine Australia · On the record

In a vivid exploration of contemporary style, On the record for 10 Magazine Australia masterfully captures the intersection of high fashion and kinetic energy. This editorial project serves as a compelling study in contrasts, where the rigid geometry of studio strobe lighting meets the fluid, painterly volumes of avant-garde garments. Through the lens of photographer Rob Tennent, the series leans into a high-fashion editorial aesthetic that celebrates both structural minimalism and intricate textile detail. Fashion editor and stylist Sarah Starkey expertly curates a wardrobe defined by bold red-and-white palettes, sweeping abstract prints, and the tactile complexity of open-knit and fringed layers. By integrating the striking presence of talent Peggy Gou, the campaign channels a sense of raw, modern confidence, further accentuated by the deliberate inclusion of visible tattoos that ground the high-concept styling in a relatable, human narrative. The editorial relies on a disciplined composition against neutral, seamless backdrops, allowing the interplay of natural light and professional studio techniques to emphasize every stitch and silhouette. With deliberate hair styling by Sophie Roberts and refined makeup by Victoria Baron, each portrait functions as a graphic statement on creativity and change. The result is a polished, visually arresting body of work that reinforces 10 Magazine's commitment to pushing the boundaries of portraiture within the luxury fashion sector.
