W Magazine China: Philo-sophy

Philo-sophy is a fashion editorial series for W Magazine China, centering on the interaction between architectural garments and minimalist textures. Captured by photographer Zhong Lin, the project leans into clean, studio-based aesthetics to highlight sculptural tailoring and modern proportions. Throughout the editorial, model Thea Almqvist is presented in a series of layered, tactile compositions. The styling, led by Austin Feng, pairs oversized leather pieces and heavy knitwear against a neutral, seamless studio backdrop. These portraits rely on soft, diffused lighting and precise framing to emphasize the natural skin textures and the interplay of monochrome tones. The series features hair styling by Laurent Philippon, who utilizes a wet-look technique, and subtle, natural makeup by Min Kim. Additional contributions to the production include set design by Andrew Lim Clarkson and casting by Alejandra Perez.
