Saint Laurent
Men's Winter 2024 Ad Campaign

Jul 2024
For the Saint Laurent Men's Winter 2024 campaign, creative director Anthony Vaccarello orchestrates a masterful exploration of tension and shadow, pushing the boundaries of contemporary luxury fashion advertising. Captured by photographer Glen Luchford, the campaign unfolds within an intimate, dimly lit studio environment where architectural rigor meets the visceral, soft textures of velvet, satin, and heavy drapery. By leaning into an aesthetic defined by low-key chiaroscuro and cinematic composition, the imagery achieves a hauntingly sophisticated atmosphere. Models including Kate Moss, Vassili Schneider, and Zeke Lindsey navigate these staged, theatrical vignettes, their presence amplified by high-contrast lighting that meticulously traces the silhouette of the human form against dark, moody backdrops. The work feels deeply personal yet detached, utilizing studio strobe techniques to carve out distinct details—a mirrored reflection, the drape of a leather coat, or the subtle weight of a lace top—that ground the editorial narrative in a sense of quiet introspection. With casting directed by Samuel Ellis Scheinman and movement by Emma Chadwick, the project transcends simple product placement to evoke a feeling of timeless, elevated drama. This series serves as a powerful testament to the brand's commitment to visual storytelling, where every frame acts as a deliberate, stylish study in form, light, and the raw interplay between the subject and their surrounding shadows.
