Overdue Magazine: LIFE ISSA MOVIE

LIFE ISSA MOVIE is an editorial series commissioned for Overdue Magazine that leans into a moody, atmospheric aesthetic. The project utilizes low-key lighting and chiaroscuro techniques to craft a series of intimate, cinematic portraits that emphasize texture and shadow within domestic and office interiors. Photographer Mark Yareham leads the visual direction, working with model Han Zhicheng to create a sequence of contemplative, high-contrast imagery. The production is characterized by its reliance on directional light sources, ranging from the domestic glow of an open refrigerator to the sharp, deliberate shadows of studio portraiture. Casting by Miguel Brana Campos supports the project's focus on varied textures, blending patterned fabrics and layered wardrobe choices with the stark, dim settings of the shoot.
