MUSA is a striking editorial feature for Overdue Magazine that explores the interplay between human form, texture, and geometry. Through a series of minimalist compositions, the project examines sculptural silhouettes and tactile surfaces, utilizing high-contrast lighting to accentuate physical anatomy and material tension. Photographed by Dina Gaikova, the series centers on model Liza Ostanina, whose presence grounds the work’s conceptual focus on shape and monochromatic palettes. The execution leans into moody, low-key chiaroscuro and clean, graphic arrangements to maintain a refined visual language. Makeup artist Ildana Khalitova contributes to the project’s aesthetic, employing precise, naturalistic styling that complements the project’s focus on light and shadow.
