Duality of durability is an editorial fashion feature for Coeval Magazine, exploring contrasting textures and forms through a series of stark, atmospheric portraits. Under the creative direction of Mark Yareham, the project juxtaposes intimate domestic scenes with urban environments to frame contemporary style. Photographer Mark Yareham utilizes high-contrast techniques, primarily focusing on low-key lighting and chiaroscuro, to carve figures out of deep shadows in indoor settings. These moody, matte-textured compositions are balanced by outdoor portraiture that shifts into clean, natural light, highlighting casual streetwear and utility-inspired garments against weathered urban backdrops.
